Trevor Cochrane tests the NEW RLA 240 battery scarifier

If you’re a true blue Australian and love keeping your lawn lush, clean and tidy, then you’ll need to get your hands on one of these. The new RLA 240 battery scarifier offers users the option of either scraping the lawn using the scarifier attachment for better aeration, or combing dead grass and moss from your lawn, also known as dethatching, by using the aerator roller. Simply attach the tool you need in a few simple steps, adjust the working depth using the infinitely adjustable scale and off you go.

It is recommended to scarify when the soil is moderately moist but with a surface that is dry to the touch. If you’re ever unsure of what’s going on beneath the surface of your soil, simply take a small shovel and make a hole in your lawn, lifting up a small portion of the soil so you can assess the soil. Do it in a less visible and less crowded place.

Leading gardener Trevor Cochrane recently tested the RLA 240 on The Garden Gurus. Watch to find out exactly how and when to renovate your lawn with the feature-rich, easy-to-use battery scarifier.
