Prune until spring with the new HSA 50 and HSA 60 hedge trimmers

This spring sees the introduction of two new hedge trimmers equipped with STIHL’s AK battery system, bringing the total number of tools in the range to more than 15, giving home gardeners more choice and flexibility in the garden than ever.

The new HSA 50 is perfect for trimming small to medium sized hedges around the garden and features a 50cm cutting blade with a 30mm tooth spacing to ensure it captures every branch along the way.

It’s incredibly lightweight (just 3.7) with the recommended AK 10 battery and features rubberized material on both handles to ensure a good grip on the machine while cutting.

Also joining the range is the impressive HSA 60, which has a suite of advanced comfort and safety features making it easy to trim hedges of all shapes and sizes, from ornamental topiary balls to larger, wider protective hedges.

Taking the title of the most powerful hedge trimmer in the AK battery system, its most impressive feature is its rotating handle which can actually lock in three set positions so you can adjust it depending on the angle you want to cut.

Thanks to its powerful EC motor and the large spacing of 34 mm between the knives, the HSA 60 is able to tackle thick and dense hedges – and if they get stuck in hard branches, they free themselves again thanks to the system anti-jam via automatic change of direction of rotation.

Both models feature the same laser-cut, diamond-ground droplet blades that users know and love from STIHL hedge trimmers for precise, efficient trimming every time. The blade guide guard at the end of both models also allows wear-free work close to the floor or along walls without damaging the blade.

And when you’re done, both models feature a hanging eyelet under the machine so you can store it easily and out of the way between toppings.

Both models are now available Australia-wide from your local STIHL dealer.
